The natural choice for Sixth Form in East Durham.

If you are keen to know more and want to join this top-rated college

Welcome to Byron College

To celebrate our brand new 6th Form we decided to also create a brand new website, where we hope we will give you enough of a glimpse into how totally fab the place is, so you will want to enrol straight away!!

Joking aside, we can only provide a snapshot here, so please get in touch if you have any questions or want a grand tour!

Speak to Denise on reception on (0191) 5876221 or email: enquiries@byron-college.co.uk.

We are delighted, yet again to be ranked as one of the best 6th form providers in the area and there is a whole section on the website which will tell you why Byron is the natural choice for 6th Form in this area.

HAPPY SURFING!

We are once again delighted with our results. Over half of our students achieved 2 or more A* - B grades, whilst 100% achieved 2 or more A* - E grades. The college itself achieved 71% of grades at A* - B.

Many of our students did extremely well, achieving 3 A or A* grades in traditional A Level subjects, whilst others achieved 3 Distinctions or Distinction* in A-Level equivalent courses. These include Lucy Gray and Johnathon Archer who both achieved A*A*A grades. As a result, Lucy secured her first choice place at Durham University to study History, whilst Johnathon will soon be studying Economics and International Economics at Nottingham University. Anna Ebblewhite also secured her first choice and will take up a place to study Medicine at Newcastle University, whilst Scott Musgrove and Luke Foster will study Sociology and Theology respectively, at Durham University.

We are pleased that the majority of our students have secured their chosen places at University, and we wish them well in their future studies and exciting careers. Once again these excellent results are a credit to the hard work of students and staff. Congratulations to all concerned!
